Duncan Gerhard, DPT
Duncan Gerhard, Physical Therapist (DPT), is the President/Owner of Excel Rehabilitation. He joined the clinic in 2006 and has been the owner since 2013.
Duncan is certified in Functional Dry Needling and Sportsmetrics: Knee Injury Prevention. He specializes in treating all orthopaedic conditions including complex knee and shoulder injuries, sports related injuries, joint replacements, fractures and injuries to the spine and foot/ankle.
Education and Training
Duncan received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Marymount University in 2006 after graduating from James Madison University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Through his years of employment and continuing education, Duncan brings experience in dry needling, joint mobilizations, manual therapy techniques, musculoskeletal injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, pediatrics, injury prevention, and therapeutic exercise/exercise prescription.
Throughout his life Duncan has been heavily involved in athletics. He has played football, lacrosse, and baseball. Currently enjoys strength training, stand up paddle boarding, and spending time with his wife and three children.
