Alex Coffelt, DPT

Alex, Physical Therapist, DPT joined Excel Rehabilitation in 2024.

Specialties

Through education and prior clinical experience, Alex brings knowledge and experience in the treatment of sports-related repetitive stress injuries, biomechanical abnormalities causing pain, foot/ankle injuries, post-operative care following sports surgeries/joint replacements, and spine conditions.

Education

Alex graduated from Marymount University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2022, after completing a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in 2018 from George Mason University. Outside of the clinic, Alex is a part owner of a prominent local dance studio, where he continues to develop and teach high-level dancers. His background in movement, performance, and athletic training provides a unique perspective in helping patients improve performance, prevent injury, and return to activity safely and efficiently.

In addition, Alex enjoys staying active, exploring new restaurants and local spots with friends, spending time outdoors, and participating in recreational sports and fitness activities.

Alex currently practices out of our Fairfax office.
