Jackalyn “Jacks” Horn, Physical Therapist (DPT), joined Excel Rehabilitation in September 2009.
Specialties
Jacks is certified in Sportsmetrics: Knee Injury Prevention and specializes in treating all orthopaedic conditions, specifically injuries of the wrist and hand, rotator cuff repairs and shoulder instability surgery, osteoarthritis, repetitive stress injuries, and neck/back pain. Jacks focuses on using exercise prescription and manual therapy techniques to return her patients to their pre- injury level of function and athletic performance.
Education and Training
Jacks graduated from George Mason University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness and Recreation Resources with a concentration in Exercise Science. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Marymount University in May 2009. Through her years of employment and continuing education she brings experience with ACL rehabilitation and injury prevention, developing treatment plans for orthopaedic injuries, joint mobilizations, postural education, and total knee/hip/shoulder replacements. Jacks has been a competitive athlete for most of her life, being nationally ranked for open water swimming and winning the CAA championship three out of four years swimming for the George Mason Patriots.
Jacks currently is the Clinic Director and practices out of both the Fairfax office and the Aldie office.
